Anti-aging Injections are prescription-only medication.

Anti-ageing injections are approved neurotoxins that block certain chemical signals from nerves, that cause muscles to contract; hence when injected into specific areas of the face they help to relax wrinkles, improve facial contours and prevent fine lines from deepening over time.

Over time the Anti-Ageing treatment will begin to wear off and muscle activity will eventually return to normal.  

To maintain best results, repeat treatments are advised every three to six months.

Preparing for Anti-ageing Injection treatment

Consultation will include a full assessment of your current and past medical history, as well as clarification of any medication or supplements being taken. 

Along with clarification of any allergies.

How should I prepare for Anti-ageing Injections?

Somerset Skin Care advises no alcohol for 24 hours prior or post-treatment, as alcohol can increase the risk of bruising and redness at the site.

Identify clearly any medications you take as certain drugs increase the risk of side effects or bruising at the injection site, such as blood thinning medication and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Are Anti-ageing Injections safe?

Anti-ageing Injections are generally safe when administered by a licensed healthcare professional but side effects do still exist, such as a mild discomfort during procedure and possible swelling and bruising at the site of injections.

For patients who are allergic to eggs or suffer from neurological diseases, anti-ageing injections are not recommended.
