Time of consultation

The procedure to inject the product takes 15 to 60 minutes and is one of the simplest non-surgical cosmetic procedures.

What to exect after Juvederm

• Recovery time is minimal. Most notice the effects of Juvederm right away, or after the swelling reduces.
• The primary negative effects after fillers are inflammation, redness, tenderness, minor discomfort, itching, swelling, and firmness at the site of the injections, as well as lumps or bumps. 
• These side effects usually last 7-10 days.
• The risk of bruising and swelling will be higher for patients under anti-coagulant treatment or taking aspirin.
• For at least 24 hours post treatment you will need to minimize arduous exercise, exposure to substantial sunlight or warmth, makeup and consumption of alcohol.

How long do the results last? Dermal fillers are gradually broken down by the body and reabsorbed. The results last from 3 to 18 months, depending on the type of filler used and the area treated.

I am often asked will the procedure hurt? A topical anesthetic cream can be applied prior to treatment to numb the skin on request at a small charge.
